Terms of Use
Effective date: August 1, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of same3le, including its website, installed Progressive Web App, voice-study features, free account features, and any future paid subscription (collectively, the “Service”). “same3le,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the person or entity that operates the Service, whose complete legal identity and address will be published before paid subscriptions launch.
1. Eligibility and territory
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. The prototype is offered for use in the United States. You may not use technical measures to evade regional or eligibility restrictions.
2. Educational use only
The Service is a study aid. It does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice; diagnose or treat any condition; provide patient-specific recommendations; or replace qualified instruction, authoritative sources, or professional judgment. Do not use it during patient care, emergencies, procedures, driving, operation of machinery, or any activity requiring full attention.
3. Accounts
The current prototype may save settings in the user’s browser. Optional accounts use passwordless email authentication through Supabase. If you sign in, authentication information and any Google Sheet identifiers you save are stored by Supabase. You are responsible for access to your email account, devices, and authentication links. You must provide accurate information and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Studying does not require an account.
4. Free service
same3le currently offers a free core study experience. Free features, limits, and availability may change, but we will not charge you merely because you created or used a free account. A separate affirmative purchase will be required for any paid plan.
5. Optional paid subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are not currently active. When offered, the checkout screen will disclose the plan, price, currency, billing interval, taxes, renewal terms, any trial or promotional period, included features, and cancellation method before payment information is submitted.
- Affirmative consent: You will not be enrolled through a prechecked box or through silence. You must take an explicit action agreeing to the recurring charge.
- Renewal: Unless the checkout says otherwise, a subscription renews automatically for the stated interval until canceled.
- Payment processing: Payments should be handled by a third-party payment processor. same3le does not intend to store raw payment-card numbers.
- Cancellation: An online account or billing portal will be provided. Cancellation stops future renewals and normally leaves access active through the end of the paid period, unless the checkout states otherwise.
- Price changes: Material price changes will be disclosed before they apply to a renewal, as required by applicable law.
- Refunds: The final refund policy will be displayed before paid launch. Except where law requires otherwise or the checkout states otherwise, fees for a completed billing period are expected to be nonrefundable.
6. User content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you lawfully provide. You grant same3le only the limited rights necessary to process that content and provide the Service. You represent that you own the content or have permission to use it. Do not provide patient information, confidential institutional information, secure examination content, or copyrighted commercial question-bank material you are not authorized to use.
7. Current data-processing model
Pasted questions and local Excel, Anki, CSV, TSV, and TXT files are read in the browser. Google Sheet data is requested from Google by the browser. If you sign in and save a sheet, Supabase stores authentication information and spreadsheet identifiers, not the question text. Settings and local progress remain in browser storage. Browser or operating-system speech services may process audio or transcripts; same3le does not intentionally store spoken answers, audio, or transcripts. The Privacy Policy controls when it conflicts with a general description in these Terms.
8. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. You may not interfere with the Service, bypass access controls, scrape at abusive volume, distribute malware, impersonate others, violate intellectual-property rights, or use the Service to facilitate unlawful activity.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, branding, interface, software, and original content are owned by or licensed to the operator and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant an open-source license or permission to copy, sell, reverse engineer, or create a competing derivative service except where applicable law expressly permits.
10. Third-party services
The Service may depend on GitHub Pages or another host, Supabase, Google Sheets, browser speech services, email providers, and a payment processor. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or processing outside our control.
11. Beta features and changes
Prototype and experimental features may be incomplete, inaccurate, interrupted, changed, or removed. Lock-screen playback, speech recognition, and answer matching depend on device and browser behavior and are not guaranteed.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, or educational outcomes. You are responsible for verifying study content and deciding whether the Service is appropriate for your use.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost data, revenue, or educational opportunity; clinical or professional decisions; or reliance on inaccurate content or speech matching. A final monetary-liability cap will be established before paid subscriptions launch and will not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for security threats, unlawful conduct, material breach, abuse, nonpayment, or risk to users or the Service. You may stop using the free Service at any time and, once accounts launch, request account deletion subject to limited lawful retention.
15. Changes to these Terms
Material changes will be identified by a new effective date. Production accounts will be asked to accept materially revised terms when appropriate. Continued use after effective notice may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
16. Contact and unresolved launch fields
Before paid launch, this section will identify the legal operator, postal address, support and legal email addresses, governing law, dispute forum, and any arbitration or class-action terms. Until those fields are completed, no paid subscription should be offered.
